Headaches have many possible causes. One of the most common causes of headaches is pain that comes from trigger points in the muscles of the head and neck. These headaches generally don’t go away without treatment and NSAIDs don’t help very much (Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc.).

We specialize in treating musculoskeletal conditions. If you have headaches that look like this, we can help!
The first step is to accurately diagnose the cause of your headaches. Dr. Glasgow will examine you and determine if your headaches are trigger point headaches. If they are, you can be treated on the same visit.
We use a technique called Trigger Point Pressure Release Therapy (TPPRT) to treat the trigger points in the office, and then we teach you how to stretch the muscles to keep the trigger points from coming back. This combination of trigger point treatment and stretching usually fixes these headaches in 4 visits over the course of two weeks, or sooner if your headaches started recently.
